This council of professionals meets to discuss current issues relative to financial developments in the industry. Experts address the group on topics like taxes, insurance, PIA Ratio Studies, costing systems and other financial management issues.

This council deals with human resource, FMLA, employee benefits, personnel and training issues specific to the print communications industry. It is responsible for updating the PIM biannual Wage and Benefit report.

Our guest speaker, Gail Propson is the Regional Trainer of the MN branch of Profiles International, Inc. where she helps increase client’s profitability and productivity by the strategic use of assessments. She has trained and presented on the impending Workforce Crisis at meetings and conferences. Gail was also honored with the 2007 Champion of Women Personal Award from the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce; where she is an active member and a committee chair. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and ASTD.

This committee provides a full range of services and programs directly to member companies that have union agreements, or through Graphic Arts Employers of America (GAE), in such areas as industrial relations, labor relations, human resource management and compliance with governmental laws and regulations. Its goals are to promote sound labor industrial relations among employers who have contract obligations with unions and to provide education and information on bargaining strategies, grievances and arbitration, and wage and contract settlements.
