| Teachers came from all over the state this year, logging miles from the border of Canada, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa. Grassroots efforts of notification and email have made this event grow year to year. The PIM Surplus Paper Drive actually had more teachers than paper this year, which has never happened! The event was supposed to last from 9am to 12 noon, but all the paper was gone by 10:30 am. The parking lot was full and teachers came with U-Hauls and big trucks to load the paper. |
| To all those donators, “What can I say? Wow!” exclaims Kris Pilling-Davis, Director of Education for PIM, “This was great!” Teachers flooded volunteer staff from PIM and Pioneer Paper Stock with gracious thank yous and endless stories of this PIM Surplus Paper Drive keeping departments afloat. There are actually programs tha would not exist without this surplus paper. |
